Mono Coffee

A warm, editorial website designed to showcase the brand, menu and atmosphere.

Overview

The brief: a single-origin café in Bangsar that wants a site that feels like visiting the shop: warm, unhurried and clear about what is on the menu today.

Design challenge

Most café sites are a PDF menu and an Instagram link. Mono needed its menu readable on a phone in one hand, its opening hours impossible to miss, and a sense of the space before the first visit.

Design direction

Roasted browns and oat tones, a round friendly sans and short editorial captions. The menu is real HTML with clear prices, and opening hours sit at the top of every page.

  • Oat#F3E9DC
  • Roast#6B3F26
  • Espresso#2A1A12

Rounded sans headlines paired with a compact text face for the menu.

Website screens

Mobile screens

The layout was designed for phones from the start, not squeezed down afterwards. Navigation, key actions and the most important content sit within easy reach.

Key features

  • Phone-first menu

Categories, prices and dietary notes that read well at arm’s length.

  • Hours and directions

Opening hours and a map link visible from every page.

  • Stories from the bar

Short posts about new beans and seasonal drinks.

Final result

A three-page site that answers the questions customers actually ask — what’s on, when you’re open and how to get there — while carrying the café’s personality.
